If you Loved “Game of Thrones” and “Avatar: The Last Airbender” then you will Love “Eon” by Alison Goodman.
Each year a different Dragon ascends and a new apprentice is chosen, and Eon (real name Eona) is masquerading as a boy in order to be presented to them. Rules are broken and friends are betrayed as she attempts to navigate the world of the Dragon-eyes in this detailed fantasy world that reminded me of a pre-industrial fire nation.
The only issue that I had with this book is that the main character is oddly passive and, like so many of the Starks, makes a TON of bad life choices along the way. I was still unable to put this book down, even while I was screaming at the heroin.
I am currently trying to review this book and I just know I can never live up to the perfect and succinct way that it has just been done.
